The first Google’s Android mobiles are due to make their first apperance, and it looks it is not far from now. The dates are set to February according to the exhibitor listing for the World Mobile Congress show beginning that month.

Google has booked two spaces for the event, which has given them an unsual amount of space not believed to be linked to the promoting of the software platform.

The company has not divulged if there will be any manufacturer in the Congress to show any early devices however, it is known that Google have been working with the smart phone company HTC in a QWERTY keyboard design which was seen in the announcement video. So far the California corporation said that the first mobiles from manufacturers such as HTC, Samsung and Motorola will only be avaible on the second half of 2008.

In contrast Apple will for a second year be absent from the February trade show despite announcing its high-profile iPhone this past January. Apple has avoided great events such as Consumer Electronics Show in favor of Macworld and other Apple-focused exhibitions.
