Posted January 29th, 2008 by Felippe OliveiraTags: Applications, Mobile, Nokia
This week Nokia started Trolltech acquisition which will end in the middle of June. For those who don’t know Trolltech It’s a Norwegian company whose product is called Qt, a multi-platform GUI framework that’s used in applications like KDE and Skype.
Nokia plans with that manoeuvre allowing developers to create new applications to their Smartphones and increase the competitiveness of S60 and Series 40. However Qt is open source which it might have problems with Android upcoming with their $10 million challenge and Iphone releasing their SDK. This year mobile market promises great announcements.
