AMD is back, or at least trying. The micro processor company announced at World Mobile Congress 2008 their new processors and mobile graphics technology which leaves Intel in a bad position.

Their new Imageon A250 will deal with video recording/playback and photos images as also many other applications including being programed for high level graphics.

His brother Imageon D160 which is a hardware and software package will be in the TV solutions field. Mobile developers will be able to receive over-the-air broadcast TV signals in a USB-powered device. For the music fans there is the Imageon M210 bringin high definition audio quality.

In addition AMD promises cause a major impact with their Z460 3D graphics as they fit in the same AMD’s patent Unified Shader Architecture that provides a graphics platform for the Microsoft Xbox 360 video game system. In navigation system the  Z180 will be used as it can handle graphics between 20 and 40 times faster than software-based solutions. The Imageon technology

I’m really happy for AMD (as I’m a AMD fan). They were gave a hard time featuring problems with Dell and Intel and I hope with those updates take them one step further than the competitors.
