Google Android is touch screen ready (video)

Hey people, today was the second day of the GSM Mobile Congress, and to be honest, I saw a video from Phonemag which they are using the Google Android OS with a touch screen interface over the phone E28, and are far better than the damn boring movie from Gizmodo posted yesterday. Anyway, the interface looks ok. It’s not a great interface yet, but I’m sure this is just a "theme" for now and later on will be changed and i hope it get this interface.

Dell to show Android OS phone at MWC?

I know I know, you will probably say I read that before. Despite the rumor about Dell releasing a mobile phone powered by Android OS had been hammered I received these news today on my e-mail about a "tip" on Dell’s Axim. It looks like someone from inside released some great information about the handset. However I have to say this is still a rumor and not confirmed facts.

ARM to show Android Handset

Now looks to be true, all over the blogosphere are saying we are about to see an Android handset for the next week in the GSM Mobile Congress. Routers published that the chip designer ARM are expected to bring the first ever device. However ARM and Google refused to comment about the subject. HTC will also bring two or three handsets at this year running Android. Telefonica and NTT DoCoMo are working with mobile phones manufactures to develop phone with the Google Android OS.

The Astonishing Tribe (TAT) is a company specialized on development of User Interface for many propels. Lucky they are working on a great concept for Mobile Phones. Far more friendly and eye catcher than the Iphone. You can see by yourself on the videos below. They will also do a live demo in GSM Mobile Congress, so if you’re there, it’s a must-see demo.

LiMo Foundation an Android “competitor”

LiMo Foundation

LiMo Foundation is the first working on Linux platform since January 2007. They also have partnership with big companies like Panasonic, Motorola, LG, NTT DoCoMo,  Samsung, being altogether 27 companies.

LiMo’s Morgan Gillis advise Google to sort out conflicts between Telecoms and handset manufactures, and then the alliance will show a good progress.
