Palm’s Treo get Google My Location

A developer company named Razix, tired of the lack of support for Palm Treo in Google Maps MyLocation, decided to build its own application based on Google Maps. MyLocation does exactly the same tower triangulation that most others GPS and platforms do and without the long waiting for Palm decide to give it a shot.

Android’s SDK with a goofy easter egg

SDK was released, well this everybody knows. Google’s challenge opened for entries, well this isn’t any shocking news either. However did you know my good fella that Android’s SDK has an Easter Egg? Well I didn’t until five minutes ago.

Android’s challenge finally opened

After some delay because of lawyers still finalizing the documentation for the competition, and Google’s engineers fixing bugs with the submission system, the Android Developer Challenge has finally opened for entries. The challenge will have a total prize of $10 million and already brought some new cool applications like the WiFi war. The first challenge will be accepting entries until March 3rd, will be giving 50% of the total jackpot with fifty winning entries getting a guaranteed $25,000 each and the possibility of supplementary awards- ten of $100,000 and ten of $275,000 - for lets say really good applications.

Google Android and Iphone

Google announced this week a new interface which will apply Google’s application such as Gmail, Picassa, Calendar, IGoogle and Reader. Well Android using these applications is not something really amazing, but the great thing here is the new interface is aiming Iphone and Ipod Touch users.

Yahoo tired decides to fight back

After constant lost on the internet market for Google, Yahoo decided to fight back but this time targeting Android. The company announced this week to open their Web mobile platform to developers to create applications that will fit the Yahoo web page.
